Guiding and working with an outfitter is different than most jobs.  Proper training is necessary before handling stock in Backcountry areas.  Guide School is the best way to get started on the right path.  These schools will make you qualified for a career in guiding and outfitting.  Guiding is not an easy job, but it is very rewarding.  It is very satisfying to enjoy where you are and what you do.

Guides have a spirit for wilderness and the outdoors,

respect for nature and the need to hunt.  These things are in some peoples blood more than others !

You will not receive top wages as a new guide. You may earn from $600 to $800 per month plus room and board, but it depends on your employer and their operations. Guides with several years of experience are earning upwards of $2,500 or more per month.

Due to the limited enrollment and the demand for guides.  Make your decision to find out if this is the life for you. I recommend that you request an enrollment application now and return it along with your deposit as soon as possible.  As time does pass quickly.

<---Although there are a few other priorities !!!

Although job placement can not be guaranteed, we have an excellent job placement program. We are adding to the list of outfitters for our students to apply at. We expect employment opportunities to get better each year.  We also give job placement assistance to all of graduates as they need it.

Our school provides room and board, all equipment and livestock for your training.  You only provide your personal gear.

"We will provide you with a what to bring list."

"This is a hands on training program."
